Winter Table Centerpieces
Centerpiece: Pine Cone Wreath
Since we are having a winter wedding, we decided to try something other than flowers (which are expensive) for our centerpieces. My fiancé and I are collecting pine cones of all shapes and sizes. We will be painting them gold and making wreaths out them. We are going to decorate the wreaths with a navy ribbon to match my wedding colors. In the center, we will place an extra large pillar candle (three wicks) also in navy.
Personalized ribbon adds a very special touch
Centerpiece: Cranberries
At my future Mother-in-Law's suggestion, we are using cranberries. Each table will have a round (ivy-like) bowl filled with cranberries. Sunken into the cranberries will be a white candle. The bowl will be nestled in the center of a pine wreath decorated with Christmas ribbons.
Centerpiece: Table Runner
Using a runner instead of a centerpiece is a wonderful idea! I have been going crazy trying to think of a way not to use the mirror, glass bowl thing. However, by using a runner I can find a rich, tapestry-like material and it will also add the right touch of color to the hall.
Centerpiece: Gingerbread Houses
I’m having a Christmas wedding. I am buying gingerbread houses from my baker and using them as my centerpieces. They will add to the festivities of the holiday and add both color and fun to my wedding.
Centerpiece: Miniature Christmas Tree
We are getting married five days before Christmas, so we are going to have little Christmas trees with battery operated lights on them for our centerpieces.
Centerpiece: Christmas Village
We are having a Christmas Wedding and arranging Dickens' villages in the middle of our tables as centerpieces.
Centerpiece: Christmas Present
Use a Christmas theme. On our tables, we wrapped boxes (which look like presents) to hold poinsettias or some other festive plant.
Centerpiece: Christmas Basket
We are having a Christmas theme wedding. We bought low white baskets, that were on sale at Easter, and we are filling them with evergreen, poinsettias, holly and Christmas balls. On top will be a plaid bow. We purchased everything on clearance after the holidays.
Centerpiece: Christmas Candles
At our wedding, we placed ivory candles surrounded by small Christmas wreaths on each table. All the centerpieces were accented by our bouquets which were also green wreaths with poinsettia in them.
Centerpiece: Valentine's Day
Since I'm having a Valentine's Day wedding, my centerpieces were red candles inside hurricane glasses on top of a clear glass plate. We wove silk ivy and white baby's breath around the globe and out the sides. They're very inexpensive and ties the red and wedding together.
Centerpiece: Conversation Hearts
Kelly, Piitsburgh, PA
For our Valentine's Day wedding, we scattered candy conversation hearts like confetti all over the tables and filled glass bowls with even more candy hearts. It added a very sweet touch to our reception!
Everybody loves candy!
