Hair accessories are very fashionable too, especially with the more
"retro" style dresses. Rhinestone barrettes and combs are lending a stylish
touch to bridal parties.
And now for the shoes.. most of the experts will tell you
to dye the shoes for a complete and finished look. If the shoes have too much contrast
from the dress, people’s eyes can be automatically drawn downward and
that’s not where you want people to focus. Especially with the pale,
neutral colors that are so hot for summer.
If the colors are soft,
and shoe dying becomes necessary as it is tough to match the colors
otherwise. It also adds a uniformity to the bridal party. It is best to try and have all shoes done at the same time and the
same place -- otherwise your shoes run the risk of being a slightly different color.
Finally, back to our original question, is there really
such thing as a bridesmaid dress that you wear again?
Yes! The
column style gowns can most certainly be worn again, either shortened or not. Some of the
styles are very retro and there is no reason to not wear them again!
They can be updated with different accessories to give the dress a different look. So, if you choose your
bridesmaid gowns carefully, the dresses can be worn and enjoyed again ...and your
bridesmaids will thank you!
